"The swallows of Capistrano, famous both in song and story, really do build their mud nests in the ruins of the old mission church, returning each year on or about March 19th, St. Joseph's Day." - www.californiamissions.com

There. I'm glad that cheap gag is behind me.

The truth is, our mission at Half a Bubble off Plumb World Headquarters is a simple one:

• To celebrate silliness in a world sadly lacking in same (outside of politics, that is);

• To drive home an occasional genuine, trenchant point;

• To slip in the odd, obscure literary reference now and then;

• To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield (see?);

• To make a few bucks on the side.

Hey, there are worse missions. Have you checked on Pat Robertson lately?

"Humor is sacred." -Tommy Sands, Irish traditional musician (really).
